CBI Annual Conference

Where is the event being held?
The CBI annual conference is taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London W1K 7TN.

Is the conference only open to CBI members?
Yes, this year you can only attend this prestigious event if you are a CBI member.

How much does it cost to attend the conference?
Entry to the conference is free of charge.

How do I book?
Entry to the conference is by invitation.

If you have an invitation to the conference with a booking code, you can book online or request a booking form, if you have any questions concerning your booking please call the events team on 0800 983 0093.

What happens once I have booked?
If you book online you will be sent a message confirming your booking. For postal bookings we will send an email confirmation to the office contact on the booking form.

When will I receive my tickets?
You will receive your admission tickets two weeks before the event. If you do not receive your confirmation within two weeks of your booking please contact the events team cbievents@cbi.org.uk. If you book within two weeks of the event date we will send your tickets as soon as possible. You must bring your ticket on the day to gain admittance to the conference.

Can I register on the day?
No. All delegates must pre-register by 1000 hours on Thursday 17 November.

What is the dress code for the conference?
For the conference, delegates are expected to dress in appropriate business attire.

What is included in the delegate package?
The delegate package includes attendance at all conference sessions, lunch, tea and coffee throughout and souvenir event brochure.

Can I get a list of delegate names for 2011?
No. However if you attend the event you will have access to a full delegate and guest list in the conference guide, which you will receive on the day.

What are the cancellation terms?
We expect that places for the conference will be over-subscribed.  If you have booked places at the conference and subsequently have to cancel, we therefore ask that you let us know as soon as possible in order that your place might be made available for another CBI member.

What is the Code of Conduct for this event?
The CBI annual conference is a high-level platform for discussion and debate. We request your co-operation in supporting the conference organisers, officials and other delegates in obtaining the best out of the conference. Intimidating and disruptive actions or antisocial behaviour directed at speakers, panellists, officials or delegates are grounds for removal from the site and may lead to disciplinary action.

Why do I need to submit a photograph?
To enhance security, delegates will be issued with photo badges at this event. Delegates must supply a recent passport-style photograph. Upload a digital photograph (jpg) when making your booking or e-mail to: conference.photos@cbi.org.uk, clearly labelled with delegate and company name. Failure to supply a photograph will delay registration and may result in you being refused entry to the event.

What if I have accessibility or additional requirements?
Please notify the CBI at least one month before the conference date if you have any additional requirements eg wheelchair access, large print etc.

CBI Annual Conference Dinner

Where is the event being held?
The Conference Dinner is taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London W1K 7TN.

Is the dinner only open to conference delegates?
No, the dinner is open to both members and non-members and their guests. If you are interested in attending the dinner only, please contact cbievents@cbi.org.uk to see whether there are places available

How much does it cost to attend the dinner?

Members:

  • Single ticket £195
  • Table of 10 £1500
  • Table of 12 £1800

Non-members:

  • Single ticket £225
  • Table of 10 £2000
  • Table of 12 £2200

All prices quoted are excluding VAT 

How do I book?

You can book online, if you have any questions concerning your booking please call the events team on 0800 983 0093.

How do I pay?
We can take payment by: credit card, invoice, BACS or cheque. All cheques should be made payable to CBI. Full details of how to pay by these methods is on the online booking form.

What is the dress code for the dinner?
The dinner is a black tie evening.

What is included in the dinner package?
The dinner ticket includes attendance at the pre-dinner reception and a three course meal with wine.  All attendees will also receive the dinner brochure, listing guest names.

What are the cancellation terms?
If you have booked places at the conference and/or conference dinner and subsequently have to cancel, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations received in writing by the CBI events team by 5pm on Friday 21 October 2011 will incur a cancellation fee of 40% of the total invoiced. We regret that we cannot give refunds for cancellations received after this date, although substitute dinner guests are very welcome.
