Laura KuenssbergLaura Kuenssberg Business Editor ITN.

Laura was born in Italy and grew up in Glasgow. Before studying history at Edinburgh University, she spent a gap year studying and working in Paris. She also studied for a year at Georgetown University in Washington DC where she worked on an NBC political programme.  Laura returned to Edinburgh to work in cable TV and local radio before joining the BBC in March 2000.

 

After a brief spell reporting from Newcastle, Laura joined The Daily Politics in 2003.  She reported on the General Election 2010 for the BBC News Channel.

In June 2011, ITN announced that Laura will take up the newly created role of Business Editor for ITV News. Laura, who joined in September, will lead business coverage for ITV News and provide analysis of the latest business stories, both in the UK and internationally. Laura will also contribute towards business reporting on ITV’s current affairs strand “Tonight”
